Cedar Creek Church believes that being a faithful church involves not only reaching out to our local community, but impacting the broken world with the love of Christ. Our goal is not simply attracting people to our church but sending them back out to make a difference in the world.

The Johnstons in Costa Rica
Karen and Douglas serve in Central America and are based in San José, Costa Rica. Their primary ministry focus is to serve the next generation of Latin American missionaries as they take their place in the global missions, sharing the name of Jesus Christ among the unreached world. They work in missions mobilization and training, coaching and mentoring, and providing pastoral care for Latin American workers around the globe. They have raised two boys on the mission field, both of whom are now living and working in the USA. Their oldest, Gabriel, just got married in August and is training to be paramedic. Their youngest son Riah is currently serving with Youth With A Mission in Maui.

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
